fun, fun , fun!

I forgot to remember that while I was at my oldest daughters home, it rained everyday. Their town has such different shops , I thought that I would hit the main street. Well, by the time I struggled with my cane, and then the umbrella, I was past having patients for that. One nite I sprung out of the chair not knowing why until I woke up more, the rain had gotten worse and it was making a lot of noise on the house. My little house is so protected, that if I hear the storm, I know it is really bad. Sure felt silly, but I was ready to protect the grand kids!

Being with them brought back memories of when they were staying with me. Man, they can keep you young. I really enjoyed going to school to help #3 with her class ring, she needed to have it sized . She designed it herself.

They were up and doing their chores like nothing flat. It all went to fast, with them in school and work , I just wanted to write a note and have them play hookie. But alas, the adult in me
won out. It is a lot of fun seeing them growing up, I am sure proud of them. I think my husband was jealous, he used to go up and be with them when I worked, which was every weekend that he need to be up there . And of course , I was jealous of the time that he spent with them. But it was fun seeing all the fun he had with him. He sees things in such a funny way. What a story teller he is.

With love and great memories. Char

soccer mom(sub.)

Wow, I haven't been a soccer mom before. Even though I was a sub. it was just as much fun. My daughter has her 3 oldest in soccer. My daughter asked if we could watch her 4 for four days and of course I was ready that day. And when she ask if we could take them to their soccer games, well do I have to say, of course it was a go. Thank goodness they had their games(all except one) at different times. Boy, did they all play great!!! Her 2nd and 3rd both made goals and really played great, her first didn't make a goal but she almost did and boy did she play great. I can see the difference from last year, they have all gotten a lot better. I packed a lunch and some snacks so between the second and third game, there was time to get to have a picnic(we stayed with the car) Her youngest was going all the time, she put just as much energy as her sisters did. (she f
ell asleep watching tv that evening)

My husband and I kept an eye on the little one, her sisters take turns keeping her playing. On the last game, her 3rd was playing with the youngest. I turned around to see the little one take off, she was headed for the bathrooms. Her older sister called to her and she took off after her, she didn't miss a heart beat. She caught up to her before I could get out of my chair. I was so impressed that she was so responsible. She didn't complain she just knew she had to get her. It is so good to see all of them taking care of each other. Later, when they are teens , I hope they remember that they once stuck together. I'm sure they will. I will have to brag on my husband. He stuck it out and watched all the games, right beside me. He only left the games a few times and then came right back. He had to carry the chairs, the girls helped with the lighter one, and he didn't complain once! He is so funny, he kept wanting the girls to follow the ball, I tried to tell him that they have to stay with the position that the coach gave them. But then I have to admit, I really don't know the rules. They didn't have soccer when my children were young.

I pray your burdens are disguised as blessing . Char

more fun!

I recently got a call from my oldest daughter asking if I could come for about 3 days to look after her 3. Did she need to ask, I was practally packed before she was off the phone. I used to get to look after her little ones, but since they grew up, I can only count on a visit now and then. Sure is good to be needed. Her 3 are practally grown and boy was it fun!! I took things to do when they were in school, and I didn't do a thing, talk about a vegatable. She has lots of anamils, I think they outnumber the humans. They are all so lovie, but I think one is enough for me.

Can't wait to get my oes.......it is getting closer and closer. Now to think of a name, I think I will have to see her first to see what she looks like.

My oldest daughter was going to be Melody, ok, thank goodness she didn't look like that name would fit. I gave her a pretty name, my mother in law ask why I had selected that name . When I ask why she ask that, she said she wanted to name her only daughter that, but she didn't. I'm not sure I have ever told my daughter that story. Kind of freeky don't you think?
I hope you find your blessing everytime you open your eyes. Char

The week after

Well I'm about a week late on the pictures, my daughter came and helped me again. She is so busy , I really appreciate it!

After we got the pictures on she left and she told me how to put in my notes. Well, I did it and everything went away. I'm still on a roll, this is the third time for this to happen, UG

The good thing is she put the directions on my note book, YAH. So, today I put them back.

Still trying to get my oes. So close and so far away. I still feel that it is a , I want, and I hardly say that I want anything. My life is pretty full of everything I need. So I feel selfish to have an I want. I have prayed on it , and I get excited by what the Lord puts on my heart, then I look at what I need to make the house run and then I feel guilty. I should just go with it, after all my husband just went and bought a moter cycle with out any thought to what the house needed. Then , he went and bought all the things that he thought he needed to make him feel good about riding it. Including a leather jacket(I bought it for him, I'm such a pushover) As he says we will never get the price for the bike , he has put so much things on it.

My oldest daughter almost talked me into a cat. He is such a lover , even though , I not a cat lover. But my husband said he was allergic to cats so that was a bust.

Fall is here I think, I just love the weather, the bad thing is I don't make it outside except to water. I'm going to have to work on it. Maybe the puppy(if I get her) will take me for walks.
I did check on a class to teach her and me how to act. It is called Puppy Kindergarten , how cute is that. I will diffently start from the first , training her to be a good citizen.

I hope you find you greatest blessings in just being yourself. Char
